Cancellation & Abandonment Policy

Construction projects require commitment, planning, and resource coordination. Sudden cancellations or mid-way abandonment cause serious losses to both parties. This policy outlines the terms under which work may be paused, cancelled, or legally exited.

1. Cancellation Before Work Begins

  • If the client cancels before work starts, there is no penalty as long as no material has been purchased and no labour scheduled.
  • If any advance purchase or labour arrangement was already done based on client confirmation, reimbursement of actual cost will be required.

2. Cancellation After Work Has Started

  • If the client cancels before work starts, there is no penalty as long as no material has been purchased and no labour scheduled.
  • If any advance purchase or labour arrangement was already done based on client confirmation, reimbursement of actual cost will be required.

3. Illegal or Forced Cancellation

  • If the client refuses to pay after completion, or disappears during ongoing work, the project will be marked as “Abandoned by Client”.
  • We reserve the right to:
    • Stop all work immediately
    • Seek legal recovery under fraud, cheating, or breach of contract clauses
    • Recover labour, material, and opportunity cost losses

4. Refund Policy

Since we do not take advance payments, there is no refund involved in normal flow.

However, if the client makes a full pre-payment by choice and cancels mid-way:

  • Refund will be calculated based on work completed
  • Unused amount will be returned after deduction of labour and material already consumed

5. Contractor-Initiated Cancellation

We may cancel the project mid-way only in these rare cases:

  • Client repeatedly delays payment without reason
  • Unsafe or abusive site environment
  • Unreasonable scope changes without compensation
  • False promises or interference from third parties

In such cases, we will give written notice, clear final bills, and exit the site respectfully.

6. Site Abandonment Clause

If the client halts the work for more than 15 days without written communication:

  • The project will be considered abandoned
  • All labour will be released
  • Restarting the same project will require fresh planning and a revised estimate

7. No Verbal Cancellation

  • All cancellations or halts must be made in writing via WhatsApp, SMS, or signed note
  • Verbal instructions like “Ruk jao abhi” or “Pause kar do” are not considered formal
  • Work continues until formal cancellation is communicated
