How Are Materials Handled?

Materials Already Used
Materials incorporated into completed work will be considered as part of the assessment of work completed and the final settlement.

Unused Materials Purchased for Your Project
Unused materials will be identified, and their ownership, payment status and possible return options will be reviewed against the purchase records and agreed terms.

Materials Supplied by the Homeowner
Homeowner-supplied materials remaining at the site should be identified and coordinated for collection or continued use, as agreed by both parties.

Tools and Equipment
SCW-owned tools and equipment will be arranged for removal, subject to safe access and practical site conditions.
What About Unfinished Work?
Where practical, both parties should review the site condition and document the work completed, the remaining tasks and any immediate safety concerns.
Before closing the project, clarify:
- The current condition of the property.
- Any unfinished or exposed construction work.
- The status of materials remaining at the site.
- Any outstanding payments or eligible refunds.
- Arrangements for access, collection and site handover.
Why Is a Written Handover Important?
A written record helps both parties understand the property's condition, the materials remaining and the agreed next steps. It can also help prevent misunderstandings after the project has ended.
